Before history was written, it was spoken — carried in rhythm and song, passed through memory, and shared beneath open skies. Those stories traveled across kingdoms and oceans, tracing the same routes as salt, silk, and spices. They connected us long before borders and textbooks tried to divide what we once knew as whole.
I am Amber Evans, a storyteller and independent historian who listens for those echoes.
For more than fifteen years, I’ve explored the threads of global history — searching for the lives, voices, and journeys that rarely make it into the official record. My passion lies in the years between 1300 and 1600, a time when trade routes hummed with exchange and ordinary people shaped the world in extraordinary ways.
Through The Timeless Griot, I tell immersive stories of women, travelers, artists, and dreamers — people whose lives remind us that history isn’t a set of dates, but a living tapestry. Every story I share is an act of remembering — and of restoring dignity to the forgotten corners of our shared past.
I believe stories are bridges.
They carry wisdom, resilience, and wonder from one generation to the next.
And through them, we see that our histories — though scattered across continents — still speak to one another.
Welcome to The Timeless Griot.
Where the past finds its voice, and we listen anew.
